A WILDFLOWER BABY SHOWER AT FUNGHETTO TRATTORIA

Amanda’s “Wildflower” baby shower was held at Funghetto Trattoria in Woodbridge, Ontario, in February 2023. Surrounded by her closest family and friends, the atmosphere was filled with warmth, laughter, and excitement as everyone eagerly awaited the arrival of baby Charlotte.

This particular event holds a very special place in my heart. A few years earlier, I had photographed Amanda’s bridal shower as well as her sister’s engagement session, so it already felt like coming full circle to be invited back to document another beautiful milestone. On top of that, I was eight months pregnant with my own baby girl at the time, and this happened to be the very last event I photographed before welcoming my little one. The women there treated me like family, sharing in my own excitement while making me feel like I was just as much a part of the celebration as they were. It was an unforgettable experience.

The event itself was absolutely stunning. Amanda selected delicate wildflower-inspired arrangements in soft tones of pink, yellow, and white to highlight each guest table. Her cream-colored rippled backdrop was beautifully decorated with nude-toned balloons and paired with a matching ripple plinth, creating a sophisticated focal point for photos. The cake echoed the theme with its simple yet elegant design, and it was a perfect complement to the overall decor.

Throughout the afternoon, guests enjoyed heartfelt toasts, lighthearted games, and plenty of laughter. The love and joy shared among everyone was palpable and created such a warm atmosphere.

Having photographed many events in Woodbridge, I especially appreciate Funghetto Trattoria as a venue for intimate celebrations like this. The natural light is abundant, and the layout provides the perfect space for a beautifully styled backdrop, the cake display, and group photos. It was truly a joy to capture such a meaningful and memorable day for Amanda and her family.
