A FUN FAMILY PHOTO SESSION AT CHERRY BEACH

I love when photography brings people back into my life in unexpected and meaningful ways, and this session was a perfect example. I had the unique privilege of photographing this wonderful family of five, including three lively and adorable girls, who happen to be parents I went to photography school with. It’s always a special experience when I get to capture the milestones of people I know personally, and this session was full of warmth, joy, and connection.

We met at Cherry Beach in Toronto, a location that offers the perfect mix of sand, water, and natural light. The beach setting gave us plenty of space to capture playful and energetic moments while also providing a serene backdrop for more intimate family portraits. The girls were full of personality, and their energy made the session lively and fun. From running along the shoreline to playful interactions with their parents, every moment felt authentic and spontaneous.

We also captured tender moments between the parents and each child, as well as family portraits that included everyone together. These images perfectly reflect the bonds and love shared by this family. One of the highlights of the session was the sense of familiarity and trust we shared. Knowing the parents personally allowed me to capture natural, genuine interactions and emotions, making each photograph feel heartfelt and meaningful.

Family sessions like this are a wonderful reminder of why I love photography. It is about freezing moments in time and preserving not only the faces but the personalities, relationships, and emotions that make each family unique. Cherry Beach provided a stunning backdrop, but it was the laughter, love, and joy of this family that truly made the session unforgettable. It was such a pleasure to document these memories, and I am grateful to be part of their story.
