INTRODUCING PRESTON: A COZY NEWBORN SESSION
There is something so meaningful about photographing a family’s very first days at home with their new baby. These sessions are filled with love, warmth, and the quiet magic that comes with welcoming a first child into the world. This Toronto newborn session was a beautiful example of that magic, and it was such an honor to document it.
This sweet couple had recently welcomed their baby boy, and their stunning home provided the perfect backdrop for our time together. We moved through several different spaces, each one adding its own mood and light to the story. The kitchen, with its clean lines and bright windows, created a fresh and modern setting for their first family portraits. Upstairs, the bedroom and hallway offered a softer, more intimate atmosphere—the kind of spaces where countless everyday moments will soon unfold. Each location added another layer of depth to their gallery, showing both the style of their home and the tenderness of their new roles as parents.
The styling for this session was intentionally simple and timeless. Their baby boy was dressed in cozy creams and soft knits that photographed beautifully while keeping the focus on his delicate features. His parents chose neutral tones that paired perfectly with their home’s natural light and calm palette. The result was a gallery that felt organic, cohesive, and full of quiet emotion.
What I loved most about this session was how natural everything felt. There was no rush, no schedule to keep, just gentle pauses and moments of connection as this new family of three enjoyed time together.
