MATERNITY SHOOT AT THE ROYAL CANADIAN YACHT CLUB

It is always such an honor to be invited back to photograph a family during these special milestones, and this session was no exception. This beautiful couple welcomed me to the Royal Canadian Yacht Club in Toronto for their second maternity session, and I was thrilled to capture their excitement as they prepare for the arrival of their second child. Having photographed them before, it was so special to see their growing family and the joy they bring to each other and their little one.

One of the highlights of this session was the inclusion of their beloved dog. Including pets in maternity sessions always adds an extra layer of personality and warmth. Their dog was full of energy and love, happily participating in the session while creating natural, playful moments that reflected the family dynamic. Capturing these interactions brought such life and authenticity to the images.

The Royal Canadian Yacht Club provided a stunning backdrop for this session. From elegant waterfront views to well-maintained grounds, the location allowed for a variety of beautiful shots, from wide, scenic images to intimate portraits of the couple. The soft light reflecting off the water added a natural glow to the images, and the combination of the couple’s love for each other and the calm, serene surroundings created a perfect setting for a maternity session.

Throughout the session, we focused on capturing both intimate moments between the parents and playful interactions with their dog. Each image reflects the excitement, anticipation, and love they share as they await the arrival of their newest family member. Maternity sessions like this are a true joy because they celebrate not just the upcoming addition, but also the existing bonds and relationships that make a family whole. It was such a privilege to document this beautiful chapter in their lives.
