AN UNFORGETTABLE BAPTISM: GIRO D’ITALIA RISTORANTE
This baby boy’s baptism was such a joy to photograph from start to finish. The day began at the family’s home, where I arrived to capture all of the meaningful preparations before the ceremony. There is always something so special about the getting-ready portion of a baptism day. The atmosphere is filled with love and anticipation as parents, siblings, and godparents gather together to help prepare the baby for this important milestone. I started by photographing all of the little details, including his outfit, shoes, and the carefully chosen accessories that his family had laid out. These small touches may seem fleeting in the moment, but they become treasured memories when preserved in photographs.
One of the highlights of the morning was documenting the thoughtful gifts the family had prepared for the godparents. Each godparent received a stunning David Yurman bracelet, which was both meaningful and elegant. Capturing the exchange of these gifts, along with the emotional reactions that followed, was such a privilege. These moments are exactly what make event photography so rewarding, small but powerful glimpses into the love and gratitude that surround the day.
The baptism ceremony took place at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Vaughan. This church is both beautiful and timeless, and it was the perfect setting for such a meaningful sacrament. The family, godparents, and guests gathered to witness this important step in the baby’s faith journey, and it was truly a moving experience to capture.
After the ceremony, the celebrations continued at Giro D’Italia in Vaughan. The restaurant provided a warm and inviting space for family and friends to enjoy delicious food while celebrating the baby boy. The reception was filled with laughter, heartfelt toasts, and so much joy. From start to finish, this baptism was a perfect reflection of family, love, and faith. I felt so honored to document every detail of this unforgettable day.
